FAQ

Questions, answered.

Everything worth asking about the extension, in one place.

Is the extension really free?

Yes. Free to install, free to use, no upgrades or paid tier. Ever.

Does it collect any data about me?

No. There is no analytics, no telemetry, no accounts, and no data ever leaves your device. Images are re-encoded locally in your browser.

Which browsers are supported?

Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Arc, and any modern Chromium-based browser that supports the Chrome Web Store.

Which formats can I save to?

PNG, JPG, WebP, AVIF, and BMP — the five most useful image formats, from modern encoders to classic bitmaps.

Will it work on every website?

It works on any standard <img> element the browser can see. Some sites overlay images with custom canvas or DRM protection — those aren't standard images and can't be saved by any tool.

Does it change image quality?

The extension re-encodes the image into the format you picked. Lossless formats (PNG, WebP) preserve every pixel. JPG is a lossy format, but the encoder uses a high-quality default so the difference is invisible in most cases.

Why does the extension need permissions?

It needs the minimum permissions required to add options to your right-click menu on any web page and to trigger downloads. Nothing more.

Where do the files get saved?

Straight to your browser's default Downloads folder, with the original filename and the correct extension for the format you chose.
